  On the outside this is a cute small town cafe, and I really wanted to give this a great review. Our waitress was super sweet. The food was okay. But the reason for the low rating is the abhorrent behaviour displayed by the chef. He snapped loudly at a gal who worked there to get more tortillas from the store and became quite passive aggressive with her, which is bad enough even before doing it in front of customers. Then he proceeded to loudly talk smack about her to another employee when she left. He made a glib comment to my husband when he said no to sour cream (my husband is allergic, which shouldn't have to be said to refuse food in peace). And finally, he used profanity directed at children, telling them to "eat your G** d*** pancakes". At the last one my jaw dropped and I had to ask my husband if I heard that right. I understand small town mentalities; I grew up in a farm town. This is a different animal entirely. "Eat here or we both starve" is their motto. Maybe they should find another job to keep from starving instead.
